The Swiss Bafu (Federal Office for the Environment) has started a consultation on changes to its chemical risk reduction Ordinance (ChemRRV). Adjustments in the Regulation, which covers the use of 35 substances and products that can pose a danger to humans and the environment, are thought necessary following changes to EU legislation and international agreements. It is also affected by alterations to Swiss laws on air traffic and winter de-icing. The consultation will run until 15 December.
